Beginning of June

We were painting/finishing some projects in the kitchen and Casha decided that she wanted to be a painter too and was carrying around the paint can all over with the balloon in the other hand.
Casha's personality is so silly. She loves to get a reaction out of everyone on everything, but at the same time likes to do things her own way and on her own. I found her like this one day. She LOVES the Duck and Goose books and her "B."
I love homemade jam, it's what I grew up on, but I've never made it before and this year I decided I didn't care the cost of berries, I was going to make us some jam. Zach and I both made it, but since I took the picture it looks like it was all him :)  It turned out so good and all of us are loving it.
Say decided she was going to be a cowgirl and she wore this outfit the whole day and carried her horse around with her.
I love seeing her play like this and wish that we lived on some land that she could have animals and she could learn to really ride horses, but who knows if that day with ever come, so stick horses it is :)
We took Saylor's training wheels off a little while ago and we would work on riding the bike with her every few days, and she could never get it. Every time we let go she would instantly put her feet down and stop. So we kind of just stopped helping her, it was torture for us.  She started riding down the driveway and lifting her feet up and would just coast down it. After doing this for a few days, she decided to try and start pedaling, and she did it. She would pedal to the bottom of the driveway, turn and then stop, walk her bike up to the top and do it over again. She did this a bunch of times and then she started being able to turn and come back up the driveway. We are so proud of her. She taught herself amd now she isn't afraid anymore. It's awesome!
Zach and his girls. I love seeing pictures like this!

The first video is on the 2nd day she is learning to ride and the 2nd video is the first day right as she was learning to ride.

  1. THe goods Kerr. I love seeing your pics. And seriously, you haven't made jam yet? Holy smokes girl, what took ya so long? Plus, I'm glad that you posted these videos of Say riding. Maybe it will inspire Jete to dare to try it. He's a scaredy cat!
