Saylor got a tea set for Christmas and we decided to have us a little tea party one day. She loves it and now she wants to do it everyday.
Some cute and funny things Saylor has said and done lately: She was in my room while I was getting dressed the other day and she turns to me and says, Mommy that is a cute jacket, I lub it.
The other night Zach was telling Saylor a story and then he told her to tell him one and she said "this is the hippo, the end"
Last week she was eating dinner in her high chair and turns to me and says, "hey there's Jesus (I have a ceramic scuplture on a shelf in our living room), Jesus loves Saylor." I told her yes, he does and she continues and says "and Saylor loves Jesus, and Jesus loves Daddy, and Jesus loves Mommy." I am telling her yes and yep throughout and she keeps going and says and Daddy loves Jesus and Mommy loves Jesus and Saylor loves Jesus. It was so cute and I asked her nursery teacher yesterday if they had talked about that in class last week and she said they had. Who knew that they actually listen and learn in nursery sometimes? It was a very cute moment. Saylor LOVES nursery and her teachers and can't wait to go every Sunday. All through sacrament meeting after every song, then she turns to us and says "class, toys?" Then she gets mad when its not time to go right then.
Another one that she did the other day that had us cracking up: She was playing with Zach's phone, sitting on my lap at the computer and we were looking at some pictures. Zach came and took his phone away because she had started calling people on it. After she realized what he had done, she got this mean, nasty look on her face that I have never seen before and scoots down off my lap and goes running out of the room after Zach with her fist raised in the air. When she gets to him she yells (in some demon voice that we have never heard before as well) "hey, give it back." I know we shouldn't have laughed but we have never seen her act like this before and it took us by surprise and we just laughed at her. She was really mad about the whole thing, but didn't get the phone back, and ended up running to her room and slamming the door. Her other latest that she is into right now. Every time she gets mad or doesn't get what she wants, she runs to her room and slams the door or shuts it just so there is a crack big enough for her to see out of. She then sits and watches to see if we are coming and if we are, then she hurries and shuts it and says "NO" and lots of times "GO AWAY." Hopefully we can break her of this habit before she gets to be a teenager or I will end up beating her :) She is making us laugh all the time and is getting more independent by the day. We love her like crazy though and the fun age she is at right now.
Zach's hand: So on the 4th of January, the first day back to work of this year at 7:30 in the morning, Zach was hauling a furnace on a hand truck to the dumpster and it started falling off. He went to go save it and it slipped off and sliced the top of his hand. But it didn't just slice the skin open, it took the tendon to his middle left finger with it. He went to the hospital, and they told him he would have to have surgery. So about 3 hours later, Zach was going in for surgery to repair his middle finger tendon. We didn't realize it was going to be quite as big of surgery as it was (he has to go under and wear the gown and all of that, we thought he was just going to go in and they would stitch it shut right then). 3 hours later, he had to be wheeled out in a wheelchair to our car and I took him home. He had to wear a cast for 2 weeks, then went in and got another cast put on, but it was removable (only for the shower), and last week went in again and now he only has to wear the cast at nights and have his fingers taped together during the day. He has to wear the cast at nights for another 2 weeks, then he can be free of the stinky thing. He was out of work for the first 2 weeks and then started going back, but could only use 1 hand. I didn't take any pictures for some reason except with my phone, so sorry.
