Trip to Utah

On the 1st of July we headed to Utah for a baptism and a baby blessing. It was a fun weekend with family. Zach spoke at the baptism and then afterwards we all headed over to my sister Ang's house for some food and fun. This is Bud, Alissa, Dustin, Josh, Zach and Casha getting things set up for lunch. 

 So my nephew Jav is the one who got baptized, but it was also his birthday that day as well, so we had a birthday party after the baptism. My sister's friend made this incredible TRON cake. She made the motorcycles and the little dudes on them, she made her own molds and all that crazy stuff. It was one of the coolest cakes I have ever seen. The little smudge in the corner was from one of the little kids fingers.

 After lunch, all the fun water games began, my sister has one of those huge blowup waterslides, this slip n slide and the 20 squirt guns Jav got for his birthday. The kids played outside the entire day (and of course Zach was right along with them most of the time :)

 So I had to throw this picture in because we have one of Saylor in this same swing doing the exact same thing around the same age.

 And I had to throw this one in so you can all see those nice legs and rolls. Aren't they great?

 That evening me, my sisters and mom decided to go hunting for wild asparagus. We got to take out the sweet Lincoln that my brother in law bought and loves.  Its a super fun car to cruise around in.

 Don't worry my sister Bird took the hunting part serious (just kidding Bird). She got lots of comments about her shirt so I decided I better make some too haha :)

 There was some basketball played.

 There was a lot of this going on. Jav got this for his birthday, but everyone (mostly the bro in laws) was trying it out and practicing on it.

 Once it got dark we started doing fireworks. This is Zach being Zach. He was also jumping over the fountains and running through them. Jav loves Zach (he is the one that asked if Zach would speak at his baptism) and asked if he could do what Zach was doing with the fireworks, which his Dad quickly replied that he couldn't do anything that Zach does with fireworks.

Bud was the master fire chief. He lit all the fireworks and put on the show for us. It was a really fun night. The next day was the blessing of Jav's sister Daizee. After the blessing we all went back to Ang n Josh's again and ate some dang good food and hung out the rest of the day there. We spent that night with Ang and Josh and then drove home the morning of the 4th.
