Say had her 4th birthday on the 11th. She was so excited for her birthday this year. She got to open up Peter Pan right when she woke up. She was so excited. I read her the book Peter Pan months ago and she talks about him all the time still even though she had never seen the movie. She had Preschool that morning and afterwards had a friend come over to play with her and watch Peter Pan.
I made cupcakes that day and had them cooling on my cutting board and I looked over at one point and saw this.
Casha had come and snatched one and plopped herself down and started eating it and I didn't even notice. I was busy making the frosting and wasn't paying attention. She loved it and ate almost the whole thing.
When Zach got home from work we gave her her main present. This is her walking around the corner seeing it for the first time.
We got her a kitchen. She was SO excited. She started checking it out right away and looking at all the fun things it does.
Some more excitement, but mostly not wanting to look at me because she wanted to be checking out her kitchen. We couldn't let her play with it for too long though because we were taking her to McDonald's to eat/play and then we had to go look at a few houses. I know, that was lame of us but we had too. She didn't mind any ways. She always asks if she can play at McDonald's and we have only let her like once before so this was the greatest day ever for her. We took one of her friends with us and they played like crazy and then got to get ice cream after. It was a dream come true for her :)
When we got done looking at houses we came home and had cupcakes and sang to her.
Don't worry, her hair didn't catch on fire, but it looks like it could have in this pic.
On Saturday we had a party with her friends. We went out to Linder Farms (a pumpkin patch) and let the kids ride a few rides. Say loved this as well of course.
Getting ready for a ride with some of her friends.
They also had a little petting/feeding zoo there as well. Say wasn't as brave as she normally is or she didn't care as much this time. I'm not sure which one.
After Linder Farms we came back to our house and did a pinata.
Going crazy getting all the candy.
Then we had cake. So this is a crown cake. It kind of looks like a hand in this picture, but it was a crown. I made it up/copied it off the internet.
Then they opened presents. Say got spoiled by all her friends and she hasn't stopped playing with everything she got. She just goes from one toy to the next. She is loving all of her new stuff. Towards the end of the day Saturday she started getting so cranky, I thought it was because it had been a busy day and she was just worn out, but in the middle of the night that night, she came in our room and told us she had just thrown up in her bed. Then the fun times began. She threw up a couple more times that night and into Sunday morning. Then Casha started doing it later Sunday afternoon and evening. It was a fun day around our house.
Say, Julius and Casha all being cute and looking at books.
This was today. Casha NEVER lays on us or with us. She hasn't since she was just a tiny newborn. She still isn't feeling well today and we knew for sure when she layed here like this with Zach for awhile.

Your girls are growing up so fast, such cuties! Love the cake, nice work!
ReplyDeleteFun birthday!!! Saylor's lucky. You guys are such nice parents. Jerzi's is coming up and I have no clue what we're going to do. Probs noth. HAHA You're right about her hair lookin like it could catch on fire. I looked at that pic and thought, wow, her hair looks like it could have caught on fire! Then I read what you said about it. HA And wanna hear somethin funny? I was lookin at your blog with Jerz on my lap and when I came to the pic of Saylor's crown cake, she says, "Mommy, a hand!" Then right after she said that I read that you said it kind of looks like a hand. HA It made me laugh, but I didn't think it looked like a hand though, just like a cute crown. Good work! Sorry everyone was sick. That's the craps!
ReplyDeleteAww... I miss you guys so much! While it was totally awesome to be able to spend time with Zach in October, I hope that next time you all will be able to fly out for a visit. My little nieces are getting so big! I love the crown cake. Can you email me the instructions? Savannah and Heidi would LOVE a cake like that for their b-day in January. Love you guys!!!
