She is here! I had her on Friday, September 17th at 2:44 pm. She weighed 6 lbs 12 oz, was 20 and1/2 inches long and 9 days early. Zach came up with the name Kasha Belle (Cash-a). She isn't named after anyone specific, just a name we liked.

Everything went really well and she is a healthy little baby.

Saylor meeting Kasha for the first time. She loves her and was SO excited to finally have her here.
Since then, Saylor has struggled a little bit. Her little world got rocked and she isn't sure how to handle it so she throws tantrums and doesn't mind us. We are working on it, and its getting much better already and we are only on day 3 of Kasha being home. We are still a ways off to having Saylor back to her normal self, but hopefully it won't take too long.

Us 3 girls. Kinda crazy that there are 3 of us girls now. Poor Zach. And we are the worst and never got a picture of all 4 of us at the hospital, oops. I'm a little tired at this point in the day, if you can't tell :)

Getting dressed to go home from the hopsital. She didn't like it very much :) We have this same picture of Saylor, screaming while we were getting her dressed.

Getting ready to go home from the hospital.

Daddy and his baby girl before heading home.

Getting ready to head home from the hospital.

Saylor and Kasha, just home from the hospital. Saylor was so excited for her to come home. She got a chair and sat outside on it waiting for us to get there. My Mom came to stay with Saylor and help and she and Saylor made a sign and hung it on the garage, but it blew off before we got a picture of it.

Her first bath. She hated it as you can see.

4Days old. This is the first day she really opened her eyes and started looking around. She had opened them before now, but this was the first time she was alert and awake at the same time.
She is a super sweet baby and we love her like crazy and are so excited she is here. She is spitting up quite a bit already, but hopefully the screaming doesn't start along with it :) She is eating really good and sleeping good, just not always at the best times, like last night she was awake until 4 in the morning just hanging out, grunting, spitting up, needing burped, pooping and making all the fun baby noises.
Jean, everything cute! I wish that some day I could have a girl too. I've tried to call you a few times to talk about everything, but either don't get ahold of you or you don't call me back. :)
ReplyDeleteHope things are good and swell around there. She really is a doll!!!

Congrats Keri! She is beautiful. I have the same bouncy chair, love it. I am glad things went well and that your mom is there with you. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteJean,
ReplyDeleteMust leave a comment. SO SO glad she is out, right? Good luck enduring the next 6 weeks. Newborns are so so special, if only we were not so dog on tired, we would really enjoy those days. She is special. Hope Saylor comes around to realizing how special she is too.
Good luck and enjoy!
Oh i need that baby!!! She is so tiny and cute and I love her outfit going home! I can't wait to see her in a couple months. Are you guys gonna bless her the weekend of Linz's wedding? You definitely don't look like you just had a baby. And seeing you with that IV in your arm got me a little queasy and gave me that feeling like aghh, I can feel that too. Ya know how when someone gets a floorburn or scrapes their knee or somethin, and its like you can feel it going through you too, cuz you've had the same thing happen before? (Or maybs i'm just weird) BUt anyways, i got that feeling.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Keri. That is so fun to have a new baby. Hope everything is going good for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteCongrats you guys!! She is beautiful. And you look way too cute after just having a baby. I am jealous. Can't wait to meet your sweet girls. They will be best friends. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteKeri, This is melissa walters. Your baby is so cute! Congrats! I was talking to Hollie a while ago and she said that you live off of Ustick and Locust Grove? We are on Meridian and McMillan. If you need someone to watch Saylor while you take a nap let me know (208-403-6513). I can definitely relate to having a newborn and a toddler.
