July

I didn't take any pictures the first half of the month, but we had a great 4th of July. We had breakfast with some friends, barbecued and watched fireworks.  We also spent lots of time at the water park.
A sweet and nice moment between these two. They can play so great together and two seconds later they are fighting like crazy.  About a minute after I took this picture they were being mean to each other and were on opposite ends of the couch.
My sister Holl and her 4 boys came to visit and we had so much fun with them but I only remembered to bring out my camera on the last day they were here so I don't have too many pics. We went to a park/splash park and let the kids play.  (Casha and her wild wispy hair.)
 Grey and Say playin.

We packed a lot of things into the 4 days we had. We went to the water park, went and walked along the greenbelt and played in the river, went to a park, and swimming. We all loved having them here. Say LOVES visitors and she kept calling all of them "the brothers" instead of saying their names.
I turned 28 this month and my friend Katie planned a get together at her dad's house for a bunch of us and our kids. We had a blast playing in the pool and eating lunch.
Say was so brave. She was jumping off the sides and diving board all by herself. She had her floaties or a tube on every time but I was still impressed because no one was there to catch her, and after she jumped she would kick herself over to the side to do it again.
She only had one session of swim lessons and she is more brave than I am!
Casha hung out on this little ledge the whole time mostly being crabby or dumping water on everyone else.

Funny Story.  So one day Zach was hanging up our beach towels on this drying rack on our back patio.  The drying rack kept falling down every time he would put the towels on it. I was sitting in our kitchen watching this happen over and over and I started laughing at him and he finally got it to stay up.  He walked back into the house and it collapsed again.  He went back out and tried to get it to stay up but it just kept falling down over and over. Saylor and I were laughing pretty hard at this point, which was making Zach more and more angry since he couldn't get the thing to stand up in the first place.  Well after it falls on him like 6 times he yells out in frustration, picks the thing up and throws it across the yard, turns around and walks back into the house. I was dying of laughter at this point, so was Say but I don't think she got how funny it really was.  Once Zach calmed down (when we stopped laughing) he went back out and picked it up and I went out to help him put it up, it turns out a piece had broken off one of the times it had collapsed so it wouldn't stay up but man I loved watching every second of that play out :)
A picture Say took of Casha.
Casha is OBSESSED with this blanket she calls her "B".  She tries to have it with her at all times, but I have to hide it from her all the time because whenever she has it, she puts it up to her nose like this and then sucks her thumb. She never sucks her thumb unless she has this blanket, and her teeth are starting to stick out more and more from her sucking her thumb so much.  She cries for it all the time when she doesn't get to have it and its becoming a serious issue for us.
Saylor really wants this stuffed animal cat that meows and purrs and moves it feet. She has been asking for it since Christmas but Santa and us were done shopping when she asked for it. Well she hasn't forgotten about it so we came up with a plan. She is doing chores and jobs around the house and earning money to buy it herself so she doesn't have to wait til her birthday or Christmas.  She is doing pretty good with helping me around the house so she can earn money for her kitty cat.  Cleaning the baseboards and window ledges is one of her jobs, she earned $.50 for doing it and loved every penny of it and so did I.
Here is Casha helping Say dust. She has to be doing what Saylor is doing almost at all times.

On our way into the water park.
The girls love to climb on these stairs every time we go to the water park. Casha isn't even tall enough to see out of the faces but she still loves to do it.
The last weekend in July we headed to Rexburg for my 10 year class reunion (we had a great time).  The girls weren't loving Zach's music or his singing and when I turned around both of them had their fingers in their ears. I thought it was pretty funny.
Zach on the other hand was mad they didn't like his rock n roll music, so he turned it up and continued to sing his heart out. Haha
Saylor spent a lot of her time while we were in Rexburg (48 hours) out riding bikes with her cousins.
She was in heaven just getting to ride all she wanted.  There is a pond across the subdivision but since my parents house is the only one in the subdivision she loved getting to ride back and forth all she wanted and not have to worry about cars, we loved it as well. At our house she gets to ride in our driveway and in front of our house and the whole time I am paranoid she is going to go into the street and someone will come around the corner and hit her. Its torture, so going there was so fun for her.
A picture of my parents beautiful home.

And on the 31st of July Zach and I celebrated our anniversary. It's been 8 years. It doesn't seem like its been that long but at the same times it feels like its been longer than that. Our friends watched our kids while we went to dinner and then to Lowes. It sounds lame but we have fun walking around and picking out all the stuff we would love to use for all the projects we want to do on our house.  Mostly it was just nice to get out of the house and be together without our kids.

  1. Hey Keri,
It's so fun to see your updates! Our little Becca (2 1/2) loves her "blankie" too, AND she is always sniffing it! And she wants to put it on her owies to make them all better. Something very soothing about sniffing the blankie, I guess. Glad it's not just her!

  2. Hey Jean, We loved seeing you guys. AND SORRY I didn't call you on your b-day. I thought about it a million times and then just never did it. Dang, I'm a bad sister. Anyway, I hope you had a fun, good one.
